Registering for UConn Housing

Students participating in a UConn sponsored Study Abroad program are guaranteed housing during the semester they return to Storrs. To take advantage of this guarantee, students must meet the stated housing application deadline for the semester in which they will return. The housing application is available online at www.reslife.uconn.edu.

Fall Semester study abroad students
If you study abroad in the fall semester, you will need to complete the spring housing application which is available beginning in mid-October. Spring housing assignments are made based on the information provided on the completed housing application. You will be able to access your assignment on-line in early January. Specific information will be sent to your huskymail account to keep you informed of the important dates and deadlines related to this process.

Spring Semester study abroad students
If you study abroad in the spring semester, you will need to complete the online housing application for the next academic year. This application is available beginning in December and is typically due in mid-January. Students who meet the deadline will select rooms through the on-line housing selection process which occurs in March/April. In March you will receive information through your huskymail account outlining the specific process. If you are unable to select a room during your scheduled selection time, Housing Services staff can serve as your proxy and access the system at that time to pick your room and notify you of the assignment through e-mail. To request a proxy, you will need to email livingoncampus@uconn.edu at least 24 hours prior to your selection time requesting that a staff member make your selection. The proxy request email must include your full name, PeopleSoft number, four area/hall options and the names of your intended roommates.
